NBA superstars Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala would be paid part of their salaries in BTC in a new deal with Cash App.
The two players from Golden State Warriors have announced that they would donate $1 million in bitcoin each to their fans.
The announcement comes as more athletes opt to receive their salaries in the primary cryptocurrency.
Thompson says that he prefers bitcoin because he believes it is the future of Money. Iguodala says that he, too, is a believer in the future of BTC.
The two stars plan to distribute BTC to fans to make it more accessible to the masses.
Other players who have joined the bandwagon include Russel Okung, Odell Beckham, Saquon Barkley, and Cade Cunningham.
