Blockfolio is a free crypto portfolio tracking tool that, according to the vendor, is trusted by millions of crypto merchants over the world. This app provides the current prices for crypto assets, along with live news updates. Recently, the platform has changed its name to FTX.
What is Blockfolio?
Blockfolio was launched in 2014, with the objective of letting users save time by tracking their coin holdings and improving their trading experience through curated news updates. Edward Moncada is the co-founder and CEO of this company. Other key team members include CTO Brian Dilley, Product VP Jonathan Chu, Director of Customer Support Harold Boo, and Director of Engineering Jeremy Arnold.
How does Blockfolio work?
Blockfolio supports over 10,000 digital instruments and 500 exchanges, and this lets you monitor all your holdings from one app. It is one of the few crypto portfolio management software programs where you can deal in crypto coins with no extra fees. The news feed is another feature of this crypto service that lets you minimize the noise by letting you choose which assets you wish to keep an eye on.
How to use Blockfolio?
Follow these steps to get started with Blockfolio:
- Download the app
Blockfolio is available on both iTunes and Google Play Store. The download takes just a few seconds since the app is only 23 MB in size.
- Customize the app according to your preferences
After launching the app for the first time, you will land on the default screen. Here, you will see ETH and BTC being listed. If you don’t wish to watch these assets, you can click on a particular coin and enable the “unwatch” option.
- Add new coins
At the bottom of your screen, you will notice a plus sign. By clicking on this, you can search for new assets to add to the list. You will be able to see the daily performance and value of each coin in the list.
- Add the transaction details
Beside each asset, there is an “Add” button. When you click on this, you land on a screen where the parameters or the transaction can be added.
- Monitor the portfolio
It is possible to see the market details for each coin from the main screen. You can set up notifications and study the price charts for each. By entering the proper parameters, you can modify the size of your positions.
