Opera Plans to Integrate Polygon to Native Wallet Next Year

Opera Plans to Integrate Polygon

Opera Web browser has announced its integration with the Polygon Layer two solution in the first quarter of 2022.

The partnership would give Opera users access to the protocol’s decentralized applications such as Sushiswap, Aave, and Curve.

Opera supports Web 3.0 applications and a cryptocurrency wallet and has more than 80 million users on Android alone.

Polygon is a layer-two Ethereum scaling solution aimed at minimal gas fees and improved transaction speeds. The network hosts NFT platforms like OpenSea and The Sandbox.

The relatively low Ethereum transaction speeds of around 15 transactions per second have necessitated the use of layer two solutions like Polygon.

Ethereum’s high gas fees surge in times of high activities due to the slow network. DeFi aspects that require various smart contract confirmations slow the network further.
