Metaverse Alliance has announced the launch of an online Metaverse Hackaton dubbed, Metathon in collaboration with leading funds with $50M in Prize and Seed Funding.
Registrations run from December 1, 2020, to January 3, 2020. The preliminary judging is set For January 4th to 7th, 2022.
The themes of the Metathon are Metaverse infrastructure, GameFi, DAO tool, SocialFi, and Financial NFT. The winner in each category gets $25,000 from $410,000 prize fund. $15,000 and $10,000 go to the second and third contestants.
The Metathon is open to developers and entrepreneurs above 18 years across the globe. The project encourages participants to organize themselves in teams of three to five members, although individuals can participate.
The metaverse hackathon targets developers with imaginative ideas about the metaverse ecosystem. The event holds the idea that multiple protocols and the web 3.0 tools are important as an infrastructure powering the new space.
The Metaverse would collaborate with some of the top funds like Republic, Delphi, LD Capital, Digital, YGG, IOSG, Huobi Ventures, and Binance Labs.
