Coinbase Global has opened access to Ethereum decentralized applications for some of its users through its Coinbase application.
The new feature will enable users to buy NFTs on multiple marketplaces, including OpenSea and Coinbase NFT. Users can also trade on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and Sushiswap and borrow or lend on DeFi platforms.
The service will be supported through Coinbase’s new DApp wallet and browser. The company says that it is deploying the offering in the US on Android with plans to widen the service to all users and platforms soon.
Blockchain analytics’ Andrew Thurman says that more than 95% of the cryptocurrency investors globally are yet to venture beyond the centralized exchanges. The move by Coinbase is expected to allow the users to explore DeFi and NFTs.
