The US House Committee on Financial Services has announced that crypto CEOs would testify in the Digital Assets and the Future of Finance hearing set for December 8.
The Wednesday announcement revealed that the executives expected include FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried, Stellar Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon, Coinbase CEO, Bitfury CEO Brian Brooks, Paxos CEO Charles Cascarilla, and Circle’s Jeremy Allaire.
The committee hearing titled ‘Understanding the challenges and Benefits of Financial Innovation the US’ seeks to enlighten the congress on the challenges of digital assets.
The news comes as the Senate Banking committee asks various crypto firms to avail information on consumer and investor protection relating to stablecoins.
The lawmakers are seemingly giving more focus to the crypto space as public interest surges. The president’s Working Group on Financial Markets wrote a report saying that the stablecoins issuers in the US should be urgently regulated as the banks.
