Terra’s New Chain Tokens to List on HitBTC in Network Revival Attempts

Terra's New Chain Tokens

Cryptocurrency exchange HitBTC has announced that it will list Terra’s new tokens starting on May 27 amid a proposal for the creation of a new blockchain.

The announcement comes as Terraform Labs prepares to relaunch its blockchain on May 27 and replace Terra blockchain with Terra Classic. The project developers say that the new network will not be a fork but will start from the genesis block.

Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon proposed a new Terra chain with no Terra’s algorithmic stablecoin, UST, in May. The network plans to airdrop LUNA to the LUNC stakers and holders, UST holders, and Terra Classic app developers.

The proposal was voted for overwhelmingly by the Terra community, receiving 91% of Terra validators voting in favor of what is now known as Terra ‘rebirth’.

The attempts to revive the blockchain came after Terra Labs stopped the Terra blockchain on May 12, after a huge crash of LUNA and UST tokens.
