Ripple CEO Remains Optimistic on XRP

Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, says that XRP has had the best year despite the ongoing lawsuit with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The executive believes that 2021 has been a breakthrough, with milestones like the on-demand liquidity becoming accessible to more than 20 countries for payments.

The CEO also notes that RippleNet transactions have increased by more than 100% from the third quarter of 2020.

ODL transactions have jumped more than 130% compared to the last quarter, and the transactions were 25% of the total dollar volume in the platform in the third quarter.

The global ODL volumes have surged over 25 times in the third quarter of 2021, despite operations remaining suspended in the US.

SEC filed a lawsuit on December 22 last year against Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, and Chris Larsen, saying that XRP should be registered as a security.

Garlinghouse protested the case saying that the commission was attacking the wider cryptocurrency sector.
