Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, has proposed a new plan to allow businesses to pay their state fees using digital currencies in a series of crypto proposals for next year.

DeSantis says that the state would launch a pilot program to use the blockchain technology in Medicaid payments.

The plan also includes using the technology in vehicle titles to be managed via the Department of Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

The Republican administrator is pushing to set the State of Florida as an ideal destination for cryptocurrency investments. He says that the state is attracting crypto investors because of its friendly sector legislation.

The stance by DeSantis replicates that of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who has been very vocal about the industry on Twitter in a bid to attract crypto investors.

Miami Heat’s basketball arena was recently renamed FTX Arena in a deal by the Sam Bankman-Fried’s run crypto exchange.
