Twitter, Inc. has launched a hexagon-shaped NFT profile feature for iOS devices for a $2.99 Twitter Blue subscription.
Users can verify their NFTs on multiple supported cryptocurrency wallets, including MetaMask, Rainbow, Trust Wallet, Ledger Live, and Coinbase Wallet.
The image would continue to appear in the user’s profile regardless of the ownership after a sale. The profile would only revert to the usual circle frame.
Details on the NFT can be accessed by clicking on the hexagon profile picture and selecting the ViewNFT option.
The feature comes as a cutting-edge technological innovation and a status symbol for enthusiasts in the sector.
The messaging platform had announced in September that it would introduce a new way in which users can authenticate their non-fungible tokens.
The news comes amid a database outage at OpenSea that kept the marketplace offline for some hours, causing NFT collection sites to lose data.
