Solana Pay, Solana’s decentralized payments rail, has added a new feature to facilitate transactions between merchants and users.
The added features enable merchants to provide customized transaction links for non-fungible tokens or virtual giveaways.
The features also allows merchants to receive wallet addresses in the request and respond with a customized transaction for the end-users. The service will enable interactive requests between checkout applications and mobile wallets.
The announcement adds that the merchants and brands can develop decentralized features for sending tokens, invitations, and gifts. The products include NFT minting, customized discounts, and tokenized loyalty programs.
Solana Pay previously enabled one-way transfer between users like those of Solana’s SOL, USD Coin, NFTs, and related tokens.
The developers say that the Phantom and Solflare wallets support the new feature. SOL is up 9% in the past day following the announcement, while bitcoin and ether have surged about 5%.
