The presale of the NFT collection that features the legacy of former US President Donald Trump is set to launch on January 20 in partnership with Parler.
The imagery is a creation of Jon McNaughton, a popular artist whose work has been termed by the social media platform as well-fitting to its objectives.
The first phase of the NFTs would have a collection of 10,000 art pieces representing McNaughton’s hand paintings that would be minted as ERC-721 on Ethereum.
The presale would go for 0.1 ether or about $320 per token, and a public sale would follow afterward.
Parler CEO, George Farmer, notes that the firm seeks to make progress in the Web 3 technology with partnerships that promote the freedom of speech and expression.
The announcement has attracted some criticism on Twitter despite announcing that the proceeds would fund social initiatives.
The announcements follow that of the immediate former US First Lady, Melania Trump, who is also planning to release NFTs of her images in partnership with Parler.
