MetaMask Institutional has partnered with Gnosis Safe, Hex Trust, GK8, and Parfin for DAO cryptocurrency custody requirements.
MMI now has seven custodians for DAOs in various jurisdictions. The company integrated BitGo, Qredo, and Cactus Custody in 2021.
MMI business development lead, Harriet Browning, welcomes the move by the service provider, terming it as a means to boost the expansion of Web3 in important regions.
Browning adds that custody technology and non-custodial key management solutions underscore the push toward driving organizations into the Web3 space.
ConsenSys unveiled the institutional arm of MetaMask, MMI, in December 2020 to enable individual and institutional investors to get exposure to Ethereum applications.
MetaMask has recorded significant growth in the past year, tripling monthly users to 30 million, driven by the advancement of Web3. The parent company ConsenSys raised $450 million in March.
