FTX CEO and founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, urged regulators during the Asian Financial Forum to develop a single framework for digital assets regulations.
The executive wants the policymakers to consolidate rules instead of determining whether assets are securities or not.
He adds that regulations centered on the disclosure and control of fraud are important and better protect investors.
The entrepreneur has been urging the regulatory bodies to offer digital asset policies the same way as for other digital assets.
The co-founder and CSO of DAO Maker, Hatu Sheikh, notes that policymakers have realized that the crypto industry is growing, and a ban is no longer applicable. The executive expects major regulatory development in 2022.
Asian Financial Forum is an event hosted by Hong Kong’s administration to discuss new opportunities in the jurisdiction.
