Twitter Inc. and Block co-founder Jac Dorsey said on Tuesday while responding to a tweet that Bitcoin would replace the dollar.
The tech executive, an advocate of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, was responding to a tweet by Cardi B, a US rapper.
Cardi B asked in a post whether the primary cryptocurrency would take the place of the greenback.
Dorsey has remained a steady supporter of bitcoin since 2018. He tweeted in August that BTC would bring unity in the US and eventually the globe.
The tech entrepreneur resigned from his role as the CEO of Twitter to focus on the development of Block, a fintech company that changed its name from Square.
Twitter added tipping services in bitcoin when Dorsey was at the helm and committed to integrating NFTs. The new firm’s CEO, Parag Agrawal, has been working on decentralization projects.
