The Chief Executive Officer of PayPal, Dan Schulman, is projecting that the cryptocurrency sector will change financial systems worldwide.
Schulman commented ahead of the Axis Tel Aviv international investment event expressing enthusiasm with the capability of crypto and digital ledger technology in finance.
The executive sees the sector beyond its speculative nature to real-world use cases and the utility proposition in payment services.
He also thinks that the central bank’s digital currencies and wallets can redefine daily financial functions. Schulman lauds the interoperability of CBDC, digital wallets, and stablecoins and how it will redefine the financial markets in the future.
The CEO has been a promoter of cryptocurrencies for a while, having revealed in 2019 that he owned bitcoins. His firm recently introduced Super Wallet, which supports digital assets.
