Cryptocurrency market capitalization jumped 3.1% to an all-time high of $3 trillion on Monday, following a positive momentum that saw Ethereum hit a new high of above $4700.  

The crypto market cap has surged 8.4% in the past week to bring the monthly gains to 25.5%. Notable gains have been recorded by Ripple’s XRP and Avalanche, up 6.65% and 11.16%, respectively, in the past 24 hours.

The crypto market has skyrocketed 284% from $775 billion at the start of the year, with Bitcoin having the largest market share of 41.3% and $1.12 trillion market capitalization.

The bullish market sentiment has seen the crypto market report $138 billion trading volume in the past 24 hours, the figure where the market cap was in 2019.

The crypto market is still at about 25% that of gold, currently valued at $11.5 trillion. Bitcoin market capitalization is slightly smaller than the silver market cap of $1.36 trillion, while ETH is $560 billion.
