CI Global Asset Management has launched a blockchain traded fund and a metaverse ETF that will start trading on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
CBCX – CI Galaxy Blockchain ETF, aims to track the performance of companies working on the development of blockchain technology and their affiliates.
The announcement also notes the CBCX will target cryptocurrency miners, mining equipment makers, brokers, and custody services.
The second product, CI Galaxy Metaverse ETF, will track the performance of firms involved in the metaverse, virtual reality, gaming, entertainment and payments, and social media.
The funds will also track indices developed by Alerian in partnership with Galaxy Digital Holdings, with each having a management fee of 50 basis points.
CI GAM’s Executive Vice President, Roy Ratnavel, has lauded blockchain technology and metaverse as the most important revolutionary trends that will transform business.
