Cardano’s smart contract platform, Plutus, has added 116 smart contracts in just two days amid a progressive network growth.
The number of smart contracts on the protocol is now at 1,127 as of February, in the largest ever jump.
Smart contracts began deploying in the network on September 12, 2021, after the Alonzo hard fork upgrade was unveiled.
The upgrade offered the platform capabilities in DeFi applications development and enabled developers to rollout projects.
Cardano became more scalable with faster speeds after the upgrade, where smart contract capability was added.
Tezos’s smart contracts have also jumped from 200 in January 2021 to over 600 in the same period this year.
ADA is currently trading at $1.06 after dropping 0.47% in the past 24 hours but remains up 1.25% in the past week. The digital asset has a market cap of $35.6 billion.
