Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Instagram account and Discord server have reportedly been hacked with unauthorized mint links causing losses of 54 NTFs.
The malicious link said that users could mint land in the upcoming OtherSideMeta, which is expected to launch before the end of the week.
The hackers have since transferred multiple Bored Apes and Mutant Apes to users who linked their wallets to new addresses.
The reports note that 24 Bored Apes and 30 Mutant Apes have reportedly been stolen, but that part of the data could be users transferring their assets to safety.
BAYC developer Yuga Labs is yet to give a full report, with the total value of the 54 NFTs in question estimated at $13.7 million based on the current floor price.
The NFT platform announced on Instagram that the minting function was temporarily blocked following the security violation. It warned users not to mint anything, click links, or link wallets.
