AMC Theatres has officially launched payment support for Shiba Inu and Dogecoin in ticket purchase in collaboration with BitPay.
The company’s CEO, Adam Aron, praises the online community for their enthusiasm in using crypto as a form of payment noting that the service is now live.
The news failed to ignite any positive gains in the two cryptocurrencies, with Shiba Inu trading at $0.00002229, down 1.87% in the past day, while DOGE is down 1.62% in the same period at $0.1153.
The Kansas-based entertainment company announced recently that it would begin accepting the meme tokens as a form of payment starting March 19th.
The movie chain, one of the largest globally, remains a notable supporter of cryptocurrencies, having added Bitcoin and Ether for purchasing goods and services.
