FTX is a crypto derivatives trading platform that launched its native token FTT in May 2019. Members can use the coin to get lower commissions on the platform. They can also use it as collateral for futures trading. Holders can stake their coins to receive NFTs.
Those who stake their coins also receive referral bonuses and get to influence governance decisions for the community. In order to lower the inflation for the token, the network follows a token burn mechanism. A portion of the trading fees is used to buy back FTT tokens and burn them. FTT token holders get a discount for OTC trading on the exchange.
The FTX network runs on a proof-of-stake protocol where stakeholders get to withdraw ETH and ERC20 tokens from the platform free of cost. There are tickets required for initial exchange offerings on the platform, and holders can acquire them based on their respective staked amounts. A holder has to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks before they can withdraw their staked coins. This requires a fee, and it disqualifies the holder for rewards.
