Streamr is a decentralized data delivery protocol that enables users to input data into data streams. Streamr is built on the Ethereum network and uses smart contracts to enhance the exchange process. The stored data is accessible from decentralized applications, smart contracts, and microservices. The platform is automated to monetize data, where computers can independently sell and buy.
Streamr Stack aims to facilitate seamless data relays. The technology consists of Streamr Editor, Streamr Engine, Streamr Data Market, Streamr Network, and Smart contracts. Streamr Editor facilitates faster development of data-driven smart contracts and reduces the threshold of decentralized application creation. Streamr Engine supports off-chain event processing and operates on a decentralized network.

DATA opens access to the data market and is used in paying the node operators and data producers in the peer-to-peer ecosystem. The token is used in paying for a data subscription.
