What is Sapphire?
Sapphire Coin is a cryptocurrency used in the real economy as a means of payment issued to trusted partners. The project aims to create a token driven by a community of users for fast transactions settlements. The metrics of Sapphire token are stability, value proposition, and supply control.
Sapphire uses a proof-of-stake consensus to secure its network. The platform also incentivizes
masternodes for the provision of their services. Masternodes are based on PoW and are given superior privileges compared to the full nodes. Users seeking to run Sapphire masternodes must stake a specified amount of tokens. The nodes are also compensated based on their staked value.
There are 537,572,915.52 circulating SAPP tokens from a maximum supply of 555,719,405. The token is paid as a reward for incentivizing users who contribute positively to the network. It also pays bounties for users who maintain the network’s security against vulnerabilities. SAPP master nodes are entitled to at least 95% of every block reward.
