What is Raydium?
Raydium is an automated market-making protocol that runs on the Solana ecosystem. The platform operates a central order book from Serum decentralized exchange for speed, liquidity, and seamless yield earning. Solana execution speeds average 50,000 TPS and 400 ms block times underpinned by the Proof of History consensus model.
Raydium is interoperable with the Ethereum network. With the Serum integration, Raydium deploys order books in the AMMs. The protocol also features Coin Swaps powering the swapping of tokens and additional rewards for liquidity providers. A community runs the farming reward pool.
RAY is the primary token powering Raydium. There are 78,073,665.93 circulating RAY tokens from a total supply of 555,000,000 and a matching hard cap. RAY is a utility token that powers the staking feature. The token is used in ecosystem governance, where owners vote on the protocol’s proposals and any network upgrades. Raydium also allows projects to sponsor pools by adding tokens to a reward pool as an incentive for the LPs.
