What is Quantum Resistant Ledger?
Quantum Resistant Ledger is a quantum-resistant protocol secured by the eXtended Merkle Tree Signature. XMSS is forward secure and unforgeable in chosen messages with minimal security needs and is an improvement of ECDSA, which is susceptible to quantum attacks. The protocol offers solutions for the safe custody of QRL tokens and access to public and post-quantum blockchains developed on the main protocol.
Quantum designs and issues cryptocurrency ledgers using hash-based signatures that are free from classical and quantum computing vulnerability. The protocol complements the platform’s security with resources that enable developers to build applications on a quantum-resistant ecosystem. Quantum Resistant Ledger is developing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism and smart contracts that are easily secured.
QRL is the native token to the platform. 75,633,304.28 QRL tokens are in circulation from a total supply of 75,646,437, and a maximum supply of 105,000,000. The protocol uses a floating fee set by the market, where nodes and miners determine the minimum charges among themselves.
