What is Illuvium?

Illuvium is an open-source RPG game secured by Ethereum and based on Immutable X. Immutable X is a layer-two scaling solution for NFTs. Users set on an adventure to hunt for dangerous creatures called Illuvials. Illuvials are NFTs that can be raised to battle with opponents and are tradable in external exchanges or on IlluviDEX. The protocol is a 3D interface featuring over a hundred distinct Illuvials.

ILV is the native token in the Illuvium network. 642,891.97 ILV tokens are in circulation from a supply of 7 million and a hard cap of 10 million. Holders can stake the token to access the protocol’s liquidity mining protocol. Stakers get constant token distribution and a chance to vote on governance in a decentralized autonomous organization. The revenues from trading in-game items are offered as rewards to stakers in a buyback program. About 3 million ILV are set for a yield farming program. Illuvium also features a secondary in-game currency, sILV, that is interchangeable with ILV and USD.

Kieran Warwick and Aaron Warwick, two brothers, are the founders of Illuvium. The project debuted in 2020.
