What is Ellipsis Finance?

Ellipsis Finance is a protocol for swapping and staking stablecoins. The platform operates as an automated market maker. Ellipsis features StableSwap that enables users to stake stablecoins in a smart contract in return for a yield. LpTokenStaker interface supports staking, and the EpsStaker is a smart contract for minting the native tokens.

Ellipsis was developed to fork Curve Finance. Curve assists Ellipsis in providing a decentralized protocol with no deposits and withdrawal charges, no lock-ups on liquidity provision, and an effective stablecoin exchange. The system offers the swapping of BUSD, Tether, and USD Coin and would integrate support for other pairs moving forward.

EPS is the native token of Ellipsis. The token is BEP-20 standardized and runs on the Binance Smart Chain. There are 517,098,222.50 EPS, a total supply of 578,238,484 and a hard cap of 1,000,000,000. Holders of EPS can be rewarded with fees for staking the token on the platform. The token does not serve as a governance token. The EPS gains that accrue to the liquidity providers have a vesting duration of three months, and rewards claimed in advance attract a 50% penalty.

Ellipsis Finance debuted in March 2021.
