What is DeFi Kingdoms?

DeFi Kingdoms is a play-to-earn gaming platform based on the Harmony blockchain. The ecosystem is a series of smart contracts. DFK runs on its own chain, the DeFi Kingdoms Blockchain, which is developed on the Avalanche subnet. The protocol features two decentralized exchanges on Uniswap V2. Serendale’s DEX supports JEWEL, ONE, and related tokens on Harmony, while Crystalvale’s DEX supports CRYSTAL, and AVAX. DeFi Kingdoms benefits from Harmony’s proof-of-stake consensus model with sharding.

JEWEL is a fungible token native to the DeFi Kingdoms that powers the various gaming features. There are 62,752,130 company-reported circulating JEWEL tokens from a total supply of 320,111,120 and a hard cap of 500 million. 

At the project’s inception, 10,000,000 JEWEL coins were premined and half of them allocated to game development. 20% went to the initial liquidity pool, where it was matched with ONE tokens. Another 20% was set aside for marketing, while 10% remained with the founding team. The team’s allocation is vested overtime. JEWEL can be exchanged for the governance token, xJEWEL, or delegated to a liquidity pool in the Gardens in return for higher yields.

DeFi Kingdoms was unveiled in August 2021 by anonymous developers.
