Tesla China’s website announced on Monday that the delivery time for the Model Y Long Range has been extended to six to eight weeks. This comes as Tesla continues to make adjustments to their delivery schedule in China.
The delivery time for the Rear Wheel Drive and Performance versions of the Model Y remains between two and six weeks, providing customers with more options based on their preferences and urgency.
Recently, Tesla also revealed an updated version of their Model 3, which is manufactured in China. This new iteration boasts a longer range and comes with a higher price tag. Notably, this was the first time Tesla introduced a new model in China prior to launching it in the United States, showcasing the importance of the Chinese market for the company.
In another effort to boost sales and clear inventory, Tesla reduced the prices of their Model S and Model X vehicles in China. This price cut came just two weeks after a previous decrease, highlighting the fierce competition within China’s booming electric vehicle market.
At their previous close, Tesla shares saw a decline of 5.1%, settling at $245.01.
