The luxury fashion house Prada has announced a launch of its NFT collection consisting of 100 Ethereum-based NFTs reflecting its physical Timecapsule black and white shirts.
The NFT collection debut is aimed at marking the Timecapsule initiative, where the company has featured an exclusive edition item drop from the series on its site.
Prada has announced that after the Thursday airdrop, each owner of the physical shirt will get an NFT as a digital record documenting the drop’s serial number and including a unique shirt number.
The price of all the NFT will reportedly be denominated in fiats currency instead of cryptocurrency. The NFTs will be released in partnership with the Aura blockchain, a platform backed by LVMH and Prada Group.
The physical project includes 100 gender-neutral shirts made in partnership with artist Cassius Hirst, the son of Demian Hirst, that was launched in 2019.
