A Bored Ape NFT owner called MAX, username Maxnaut, accidentally sold an NFT for 0.75 ether instead of 75 ether.
The erroneous transaction of thousands of dollars less than the actual price got an instant client. The bidder added an extra $34,000 to secure the sale and speed up the process.
The Bored Ape NFT was then listed for $248,000. The accidental sale was reportedly filled by a bot, which is usually programmed to automatically purchase NFTs below a given amount to take advantage of similar instances.
The lowest-priced Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT is 52 ether equivalent to $210,000. Some of the prominent owners include Jimmy Fallon, Post Malone, and Steph Curry.
Large erroneous transactions have happened in the past with the emergence of decentralized technology, and the owners cannot reverse but only depend on the goodwill of the buyer.
A similar transaction happened in the NFT market, where a seller listed CryptoPunk NFT for sale for $19,000 instead of $19 million.
