Crypto.com has become the first crypto exchange to be SOC 2 certified, following an audit by Deloitte consulting firm.
The Singapore-based exchange completed the Service Organization Control audit, a traditional finance standard, that gives assurance on the trustworthiness of a company. The certification assesses compliance with policies, operations, and information practices.
The co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, says that SOC 2 compliance shows the firm’s commitment to data security and privacy. He adds that the firm is committed to investing more to achieve higher standards.
Crypto.com native token CRO has gained over 430% in the past three months, boosted by its partnerships deals, to currently trade at $0.85. The exchange recently announced a naming rights deal worth $700 million to the Staples Center arena.
Crypto.com has also unveiled an over-the-counter portal that allows institutional investors to conduct big trades.
