Binance says that it is fixing a technical issue on its platform that caused erroneous dogecoin transactions and account freezing, catching the eye of Elon Musk.
The largest exchange revealed that its use of different setup to other platforms for the meme token caused the technical hitch. The company added that the technical error caused past transactions to be resent to 1,674 users.
The exchange reportedly froze some of the accounts, which received the mistakenly transferred Dogecoin. The platform says that a recent software update caused the issue.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk raised concern over the issue via a tweet, terming it as Shady, of which Binance’s CEO replied that it was just frustrating and not malicious. Binance apologized to Musk for the inconvenience and sarcastically posted an article where Tesla recalled 12,000 cars in the past.
