What is Smooth Love Potion?
Smooth Love Potion is the second token in the play-to-earn game Axie Infinity. Axie Infinity is an open-source blockchain game that enables users to collect digital pets, nurture, trade, and battle them with other creatures. SLP is used in raising the creatures also called Axies.
The cost of breeding the in-game items gradually increases from 100 SLP as a way of mitigating inflation. Axies are represented as ERC721 non-fungible tokens with distinct capabilities. Its counterpart AXS is used in the governance aspects of the network.
SLP was launched as an ERC-20 standard token and originally hosted on the Ethereum network. The token was then known as Small Love Potion before the migration to the Ronin sidechain. There are 5.13 billion circulating SLP tokens from an uncapped total supply of 5,129,907,048. The number of SLP in circulation is dynamic since the tokens are burnt whenever new Axies are minted. A user can earn the cryptocurrency by winning battles and accomplishing assigned tasks in the game.
